I danced at the Boge de Landamme
Zoge am Boge de Landamme tanzed is one of the most famous Swiss folk songs and the unofficial anthem of the Canton of Uri . It was composed by Albert Jütz and the world premiere took place in the Hotel Höfli in Altdorf . After numerous performances in Zurich , where Albert Jütz studied dentistry, the song quickly became known.
In the national media the song in 1994 arrived at the victory celebration on the occasion of the adoption of the Alpine Initiative in Altdorf: the former Uri Landammann Hansruedi Stadler , who had become nationally known as a proponent of the initiative, danced in front of television and the press with his wife to this song, as he had promised before the vote in the event of the not very likely victory.
