Zohreh Tabatabai

Zohreh Tabatabai is an Iranian diplomat and international economic coordinator . She worked for the United Nations (UNO) as head of the Focal Point for women for the United Nations system , and director of communications in the office of the Director General of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva . After joining the IAO, Tabatabai founded Quince Partners , a communications and public relations firm.

Tabatabai is active in many NGOs , non-profit institutions and non-profit organizations in the areas of human and women's rights . She was also a member of the End Human Trafficking Now (EHTN) campaign founded in 2006.

Life

Zohreh Tabatabai was born in Iran and first worked for 10 years as a diplomat in the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She then moved to the United Nations in 1980 and held various key positions for over 20 years, including three years as head of the Focal Point for women for the United Nations system . It had 85 employees who supported it with media and public relations work, issuing publications, running the website and the library. At the UN, she worked as the chief coordinator of the 50th UN anniversary celebrations in New York . In this office, she formulated new strategies for public-private cooperation and worked with more than 100 heads of state .

Tabatabai worked to improve the situation of women who work for the UN.

In 2002 she moved to Geneva as Director of Communications in the Office of the Director General of the International Labor Organization (ILO). In 2010 she left the ILO and started a company. Her topic is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Tabatabai is committed to the leadership of women in the arts, entertainment, science, technology, finance, and government and administration. She organized salon events in various cities and created an online platform for the participants in the salons to promote global cooperation.
