Zola Maseko

Zola Maseko (* 1967 in Swaziland ) is a South African filmmaker.

Life

Maseko was born in exile in Swaziland to South African parents . There and in Tanzania he received his school education.

In 1987 he joined Umkhonto we Sizwe , the armed arm of the ANC . From 1992 to 1994 he studied at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield , England , northwest of London .

He runs a production company in South Africa .

In 2005 he was awarded the Étalon de Yennenga (German: "Yennenga-Stallion") for the best African film at the Pan-African Film Festival (FESPACO) in Ouagadougou for his film Drum - Truth at Any Price .
