Zoltán Kovács (politician, 1957)
Zoltán Kovács (born December 1, 1957 in Zirc ) is a Hungarian lawyer and politician.
Life
He studied law at the Loránd Eötvös University in Budapest. Between 1982 and 1990 he worked as a lawyer in Pápa. In 1988 he became a member of the national conservative party Fidesz - Hungarian Citizens' Union . He was mayor of Pápa from 1990 to 2011 . In 1998 he was elected to the Hungarian Parliament . From 2010 to 2011 he was Chairman of the Local Government and Regional Development Committee.
