The Zoom Festival was a Goa-Trance - open air - music festival , which each year after the Street Parade initially in Zurich took place, however, due to permit problems in Zurich to Winterthur was moved. It had up to 20,000 visitors.

Artist

International DJs and live acts from the Goa trance area accompanied the festival visitors from Saturday evening to Sunday afternoon. The entire area and the stage were lavishly decorated and illuminated by international artists. Fire-breathing dinosaurs, tightrope walkers, video, light and laser shows and other surprises made for a varied night.

Infrastructure

Big and small tents with bars, chai shops, Asian food, relaxation tent and bazaar were part of the offer.

Authorities

Due to approval problems, the Zoom had to change location several times. At the beginning of the 90s, the Allmend in Zurich was celebrated until a location was found near the Zurich Zoo. In 2003, however, the Zoom had to move to Central Switzerland to Lungern-Schönbühl and was carried out at 2000 m. Since 2004, Zoom has been at home in Winterthur on the riding arena , where it last took place in 2007 after a major loss was incurred in the 2006 edition due to bad weather, which the organizers could no longer cope with.
