Zora Young
Zora Young (born January 21, 1948 in West Point , Mississippi ) is an American blues singer. She is a distant relative of Howlin 'Wolf .
biography
Zora Young sang gospel songs at a young age . When she was seven, her family moved to Chicago , where she sang in the church choir. It wasn't until relatively late that she began to discover R&B and blues .
In her long career she has performed with many well known artists including Junior Wells , Jimmy Dawkins , Bobby Rush , Buddy Guy , Albert King , BB King and many others. Musicians she recorded with include Willie Dixon , Sunnyland Slim , Paul deLay and many more.
Her first album, Travelin 'Light , was released in 1991. She has toured Europe more than 30 times and is a popular guest at major blues festivals.
