Zoran Tegeltija

Zoran Tegeltija (born on September 29, 1961 in Mrkonjić Grad ) is a Bosnian politician and has been Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina since December 23, 2019 .

biography

Tegeltija graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo . Before his political activities, he worked in an oil refinery and in the tax and customs administration of the Republic of Srpska (RS).

Since 1998 he has been a member of the SNSD , the strongest party of the Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina . In 2000 he became a member of the Main Committee and Chairman of the Municipal Council in Mrkonjić Grad and a member of the RS National Assembly. In 2004 and 2008 he was elected mayor of Mrkonjić Grad. In December 2010 he became Minister of Finance in the RS in the Džombić cabinet and then in the Cvijanović I cabinet .

He was re-elected to the RS National Assembly in the 2014 parliamentary elections, but remained in the executive branch as Finance Minister until the 2018 elections.

On December 5, 2019 he was appointed Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The cabinet was formed and sworn in on December 23, 2019.
