Zlatko Lagumdžija

Zlatko Lagumdžija (born September 26, 1955 in Sarajevo , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian business IT specialist , politician ( SDP ) and former Prime Minister .

Life and work

Lagumdžija completed his computer science and electrical engineering studies at the University of Sarajevo , which he graduated with a doctorate in 1988. He has been a professor there since 1989, and since 1994 as head of the business informatics department at the Faculty of Economics.

He is married and has three children.

Political party

From 1997 to 2014 Lagumdžija was chairman of the SDP.

MP

Lagumdžija has had a seat in the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina without interruption since 1996. In 2014 he did not succeed in entering parliament again.

Offices

During the Bosnian war Lagumdžija from 1992 to 1993 Vice-Premier, in 1993 for a short time Prime Minister . 2001 to 2002 he held this office again. From 2001 to 2003 he was also Bosnian Foreign Minister . He was again a member of the government of Prime Minister Vjekoslav Bevanda , in office from February 2012, as Foreign Minister. In March 2015, Igor Crnadak became his successor.
