The Zorn House in Kempten (Allgäu)

The anger house is in Kempten standing monument with the inscription Fischersteige 8 . It is located on Rathausstrasse near the Kempten open staircase . In the same row of houses is the patrician house with the address Rathausstraße 5 .

Description and history

The three-storey Zorn House with a gable roof was built around 1604. The rooms are equipped with coffered ceilings and Renaissance door frames. The Neurokoko facade with the neo-baroque tail gable dates back to 1908. "Materialist" is written above the entrance door to the former shop. The term materialist was not a dirty word, but a job title.

The house takes its name from the drugstore Zorn , which has been there since 1836. Before that, the house belonged to the Fehr patrician family .
