In 1969, the Zürcher printing company in Zug took over the newspaper it had been printing from the beginning, separated the Zuger Nachrichten from the party and positioned the paper as a forum newspaper . From 1991 it appeared as a daily newspaper. In 1996 the Zuger Nachrichten merged with the Zuger Zeitung , in which in 1991 the Zuger Volksblatt, which was continued as the Zuger Tagblatt from 1966 , had been included, to form the Neue Zuger Zeitung . This has since appeared as the header of the Neue Luzerner Zeitung .
