The Hotel Zum Kronprinzen is a listed building in Haldensleben in Saxony-Anhalt . It is currently (as of 2015) not used as a hotel, but as a residential building.
location
It is located at Bahnhofstrasse 4 on the corner of Bahnhofstrasse and Alsteinstrasse. A little further to the northeast lies the Villa Albrecht .
Architecture and history
The two-story plastered building was built in 1909 as a hotel, restaurant and café. It is designed in the style of historicism , but also has elements of Art Nouveau . It has sides risalite . The facade is decorated with stucco in the window lunettes and on the cornices and structured with plaster structures.
On the garden side there was originally an Art Nouveau half-timbered extension .
In the interior of the building remains of the original equipment have been preserved, such as a decorative painting of the vestibule with a groin vault , accessible from Bahnhofstrasse. There is also a life-size mural by Sebastian Alstein .
The property has a large garden.
In the local register of monuments , the house is registered as a monument under registration number 094 98502.
