Faye Marsay (born December 30, 1986 in Middlesbrough , North Yorkshire ) is a British actress .

life and career

Faye Marsay was born in Middlesbrough, in north-east England . She attended the Bristol Old Vic Theater School , where she held several theater roles from 2008 to 2012.

In 2008 Marsay had her first small television role in the film Is That It? . In 2012 she was awarded the Spotlight Prize, which gave her the lead role of Anne Neville in the TV miniseries The White Queen . This was followed by other appearances in British television series , including the role of Shona in the Christmas episode of Doctor Who . In the movie Pride (2014) she acted as Steph Chambers . In the 2015 video game Need for Speed she took on the role of Amy . From 2015 to 2016 she played the role of the homeless (originally The Waif ) in the award-winning fantasy series Game of Thrones . In 2017 she was seen in a supporting role in the film The Darkest Hour . In 2018 she took on a leading role as Katya Godman in the series McMafia .
