To Landwehr 4 in September 2011

The house Zur Landwehr 4 in Frischborn is a listed half-timbered house from the first half of the 18th century, which was built in the course of a village expansion that began in the late 17th century.

The two-storey building stands on a basalt base that has been partially renewed. The gable side is shingled , on the eaves side the framework is open. This is reinforced by man figures and divides the outer wall into two halves. In the description of the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments in Hesse , the “little disrupted powerful structure” of the half-timbering is emphasized, and overall the house appears “powerful”.

To the right of the house entrance was originally a stable. On the right side of the building there was a barn with a sheepfold until the 2000s, which was added after 1800. At that time, the post-classical front door with an outside staircase was added.

The building is uninhabited and dilapidated.
