The Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in Bělá nad Radbuzou (German Weißensulz ), a town in Plzeňský kraj in the Czech Republic , was built in 1826/27. The parish church on the town square has been a protected cultural monument since 1992.

history

The first church in Weißensulz donated Anna Theresia von Metternich 1696. It was on the 29 September 1697 Patronal feast of Our Lady Sorrows ordained .

On September 2, 1826, the church fell in flames. Baron Wenzel Kotz von Dobrz had it rebuilt. The following memorandum was deposited in the tower knauf : “In the spring of 1827 this tower was restored, covered with sheet metal and fitted with 3 bells, the high and well-born imperial baron Wenzel Kotz von Dobrsch, Sr. Apostolic Majesty real chamberlain, knight of the imperial Austrian St. Leopold Order, Oberstwachtmeister in the Imperial and Royal Army, Lord of the rulers Heiligenkreuz, Weißensulz and Eisendorf, gracious patron of this church. God's blessings on him and his descendants. "

The bells cast by the bell founder Karl Bollmann in Prague were dedicated to St. Wenceslas , St. Christian and St. Consecrated to Florian .

The church was consecrated on May 15, 1846 by Bishop Joseph Andreas Lindauer .
