Zuzana Brzobohatá (born July 11, 1962 in Brno ) is a Czech politician of the ČSSD . She was a member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2014 .

Life

From 1990 to 1995, Brzobohatá was a computer scientist for the city of Tišnov . From 1995 to 2000 she was a teacher with a teaching position in the field of computer technology at a middle school and vocational school. As a representative of the Česká strana sociálně democická (ČSSD; Social Democratic Party), she was a member of the Czech House of Representatives from 2008 to 2009 .

In the 2009 European elections Brzobohatá was elected to the European Parliament . There they sat in the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists (S & D), was a member of the Committee on Regional Development and delegates for relations with Switzerland and Norway and to the Joint Parliamentary Committee EU-Iceland and the Parliamentary Joint Committee European Economic Area . From 2012 she was also a member of the Budget Committee and the Budgetary Control Committee .
