Zuzana Burianová

Zuzana Burianová (born October 2, 1947 in Prague ) is a Czech singer and actress.

Life

Zuzana Burianová trained as an electrical mechanic, but soon turned to acting. While still a student, she appeared in the 9th grade at the Prague amateur theater Paradox, which was closed in 1963. She took part in a competition for singers, where she was discovered by Jiří Suchý and hired by him in 1966 for the Semafor theater, which was already very popular at the time .

Burianová played in several plays in the Semafor and also took on roles in several films. From around 1960/1970 Burianová increasingly worked with the duo Miloslav Šimek and Jiří Grosmann , especially in the serial Návštěvní dny , where she sang some well-known songs. She also gained some popularity in her roles in television series such as Nemocnice na kraji města (The Hospital on the Outskirts of the City). At the beginning of the 1990s, Burianová decided to go to Switzerland with her partner. Today she lives alternately in Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
