Second financial contract

The second financial contract within the European Communities ( contract amending certain financial regulations of July 22, 1975), which came into force on December 31, 1977, changed the rules for the management of the EC budget by the European Commission and established the European Court of Auditors (ECA for short ).

background

The ECA is one of the organs of the European Union . It was established in 1975 by the Treaty on the Amendment of Certain Financial Regulations and began its work in 1977 as an independent controlling body.
