Life

There is almost no information about Zygmunt Skwirczyński. A few caricatures of him have come down to us that appeared in Austrian magazines during his time in Vienna. In 1908, for example, he reported on the current art show with several caricatures under the name Siegmund Skwirczynski in the humorous weekly Die Muskete , including a caricature of Klimt's picture of Adele Bloch-Bauer . During the First World War he signed up under the name Sigmund Ritter von Skwirczynski to work in the war press headquarters .

After the war he drew members of the Sejm in Poland in 1920, 1931 and 1935 in Warsaw under the name Zygmunt Skwirczyński.
