Cyclone Harold was a severe cyclone that caused devastation in Vanuatu , Fiji , Tonga and the Solomon Islands in April 2020 .

After the cyclone had already caused severe damage in the Solomon Islands, it crossed Vanuatu and Fiji. At the time, Vanuatu was one of the few countries in the world that had not yet reported any Covid-19 infections. This made international aid more difficult, as it was feared that it would introduce the new virus.
