Zyta Rudzka
Zyta Rudzka (born November 10, 1964 in Warsaw ) is a Polish psychotherapist , writer and screenwriter .
She writes poems , novels and scripts .
Her first novel to be translated into German, Doctor Josefs Schönste, is a bizarre and confusing story about life in a Polish old people's home where many Auschwitz survivors are housed. Among them is 80-year-old Czechna , who was adored by the notorious camp doctor Mengele as a 12-year-old and describes in a frightening way the absurdly frightening parallels between life in the camp at that time and the present. In 2014 the novel Mikwe was published in German translation. There, the fate of the Polish-Jewish Haberstein family in Poland and Israel is told in sophisticated prose over several generations.
