Zytglogge Theater

The Zytglogge Theater is a Bernese cellar theater . The theater existed from 1949 under the name Theater der Unterst Stadt at Kramgasse 70 in Bern ( Lage ); In 1962 it was named Theater am Zytglogge . Together with Junkere 37 , it was a popular meeting place for non-conformists in Bern . The theater closed in 1992, but the Chäller-Kumedi sponsoring association opened a new performance venue two years later at Kornhausplatz 10 under the name Zytglogge Theater ( Lage ). In-house productions were listed there; it also worked as a guest company.
