history

Construction began on October 1, 1968, the first network synchronization took place on November 8, 1972. On December 28, 1972, commercial power operation began. The shutdown was made on August 1, 1997 for economic reasons.

In the meantime the plant has been built back to the status of a "green field", i.e. This means that all system parts have been dismantled. There is only one area left on which radioactive residues are temporarily stored in suitable containers. Even according to previous plans, the site should not be rebuilt.
