However in the case of the non-Quebec Canadian and USA sections this is not the case. It is not the case for many in the indigenous section either. These names just haven't drawn interest for whatever reason, but quality English-language sources are usually available for them. None of these, in any section, necessarily have to be translated from the foreign language Wikipedia.--T. Anthony (talk) 12:57, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
The Pita Pit is a quick service restaurant franchise serving pita sandwiches. The first shop was opened by John Sotiriadis and Nelson Lang in 1995 near Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. In 1997, The Pita Pit started to expand in Canada. Then in 1999, they began franchising in the United States. There are about 220 restaurants across the United States and Canada. The restaurants are usually located in college towns and often are open for very late hours.

The pita wraps contain a main ingredient, like Philly cheesesteak, falafel or chicken souvlaki and include other sandwich toppings available. Some of the fresh vegetables available include tomato, onion, lettuce and mushrooms. Three types of cheese are available (feta, cheddar, swiss), as are several sauces (including tzatziki, Caesar salad dressing and honey mustard.)

Pita Pit restaurants are typically located near colleges and universities, such as this location across the street from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.

Although there are several Pita Pit restaraunts that serve alcohol, The Pita Pit located in Denton, Texas (Pictured Above) is opening an adjacent bar called Beer Pit, after the proposed name "UNT Beer Pit", was turned down by the University of North Texas. They are in the process of obtaining a liquor Liscense and will open in Janurary 2009.
