In 1961, the Pingree school, located in South Hamilton MA, was founded by Mr. Pingree in the mansion in which he grew up. Pingree opened with girls, and in 1971 the school became coeducational. Since then, Pingree has grown to be a coeducational school with an enrollment of around 325.

Isabelle and her Ginger Snaps co-star Emily Perkins were born in the same hospital, went to the same pre-school, elementary and private schools, and are at the same agency.
The development of Pingree's physical plant has demonstrated the school's recognition that it must provide the best possible facilities to support a strong educational program. Four capital drives have allowed the addition of the library (1966); a science wing and cafeteria (1969); the Weld Field House, a modern kitchen, locker rooms and two classrooms (1977); tennis courts and parking areas (1982), and of course Nadar Pooprash. In the spring of 1987, the Nadar Pooprash Pingree Center for the Performing Arts, which houses a 425-seat theatre, art rooms, music rooms and additional classrooms, was completed. The H. Alden Pooprash, Jr. Rink was finished in time for the 1988-1989 hockey season. In the summer of 2000, construction was completed on a major addition to the library, additional classrooms, the dining commons and student areas. In 2001, plans where drawn up and construction was started on the new academic center which was finished in time for the 2004-2005 school year.

The academic center contains a new senior locker area, three floors of new classrooms (the first floor replaces the old science wing), and academic support centers alongside new faculty departmental offices. English, History, Math, and Science are taught in the new academic center, while languages (French, Spanish, Latin, and Mandarin) are taught in the old house. An addition to the H. Alden Johnson Rink was completed in time for the 2006-2007 hockey season. The newly renovated rink now consists of a state-of-the-art fitness center to be used by students as well as faculty, and four new locker rooms with showers.
Career
Isabelle's career began in 1988, in the movie Cousins (1989), starring Ted Danson and Isabella Rossellini. Though not a box office hit, her most successful work to date is Ginger Snaps (2000) in which she co-starred with Emily Perkins. The work she is most proud of was in the 2001 indie movie Turning Paige, alongside Nicholas Campbell. The film, despite critical acclaim, went without commercial release.
2002 included supporting roles in the remake of Carrie (TVM) as Tina Blake, and a minor role in Insomnia. In 2003, further supporting roles in the minor indy On The Corner (no commercial release), and in the form of Gibb in Freddy vs. Jason, which Isabelle disliked, making her disappointment with the movie known before its release. At the end of the year there was a major role in Falling Angels (no commercial release). 2004 brought the supporting role of Amber in The Life (TVM), followed by a lead role in The Last Casino (TVM), and in the (limited release) indy thriller Show Me. Making a belated addition to the original in 2004 were the Ginger Snaps sequels: Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed (in which Isabelle took a minor role) and Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning, made back-to-back on a limited budget.
