Mike Mendoza (born Michael David Mendoza 1 November 1947) is a British radio presenter on talkSPORT, heard nationally on 1089 & 1053 AM, Sky channel 0108, DAB Digital Radio and across the globe on www.talksport.net.

Mendoza has worked around the world getting his start in Auckland, New Zealand. He has also worked in Australia, the United States, the French Riviera, Italy & Monaco for an English Language radio station.

Mendoza returned to UK in his late 30's and has worked for the BBC, Radio Mercury, Southern Sound, Spectrum Radio and LBC before joining talkSPORT in 2004.

He was presented as a case study by the UK branch of Action on Smoking and Health of someone affected by second-hand cigarette smoking (repeated chest infections) though he never smoked himself.[1]

Mendoza is Jewish and has co-founded a London-based Jewish radio station, Shalom FM, in order to provide, he said, "some balanced reporting about the community and Israel.".[2] Mendoza is not currently presenting on Shalom FM, however, his former talkSPORT colleague Charlie Wolf presents a twice-weekly show on the station.[3]

Mendoza is a cousin of comedian and actor Peter Sellers.

Mendoza is a supporter of a charity for children with cerebral palsy, known as Whoopsa Daisy. He has publicised this charity both on his personal website and on his radio programme.
