KABC is an American radio broadcaster . The Talk Radio is based in Los Angeles , California, and sends to 760 k Hz with 5 k W . As Cumulus Media's "West Coast flagship station", the station supplies large parts of the California coast. KABC's studios and broadcasters are located on La Cienega Boulevard in the West Adams District of Los Angeles.

The radio station is considered a pioneer of talk format radio and started with this scheme in September 1960 as a second station; a few months after KMOX in St. Louis . The broadcaster partnered with 710 KSPN ( ESPN Radio ) and Channel 7 KABC-TV of the local ABC television studio.

The station broadcasts on HD radio .

The main competitor in the Los Angeles radio market is the KRLA station of the Salem Media Group .

KABC canceled the Mark R. Levin and Larry Elder Show. In 2015, Salem Communications added both to its line-up. After Larry Elder's contract was not renewed by the ABC Radio Network , he moved to KRLA.
