Mahal (Devnagari: महल) is a 1949 Indian film directed by Kamal Amrohi and starring Ashok Kumar and Madhubala. It is also the movie which pushed Lata Mangeshkar into stardom with her song "Aayega Aanewaala" (English: He will Come). This movie was a supernatural thriller and was appreciated so much at the time. Kamal Amrohi who is the director of the movie like Pakiza is one of the classic directors in Indian Cinema. The movie was also appreciated for the beauty of Madhubala. Ashok Kumar's acting. Though the end of the movie was a bit absurd and dark the movie is a classic.
