This was the location for a celebration of Nintendo's pre-E3 2006 Press Conference and VIP party on May 9, 2006. This was also the location for the DS Lite Launch on June 11, 2006 at around midnight.
Nintendo World was a stop on the Nintendo Fusion Tour on October 3rd at 12 noon, when Hawthorne Heights performed an acoustic set there.
On November 4, 2006, Nintendo World allowed guests to try out the Wii console. With over ten stations from the E3 Show in May 2006, guests were able to try out several games including The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, and Wii Sports. The stations are now permanent to the store.
