Speed Racer:The New Generation is an update of the classic Speed Racer franchise this time featuring his son also called Speed looking for his lost father. In the new version Speed Jr joins the Racing Academy and befriends classmates Connor and Lucy and his pet robot Chim-Chims. Speed Racer and his new allies set out on a quest to discover the mystery of his fathers disappearance and try and build a better racing car than the Mach 5 called the Mach 6.[1] . The show is intended to premier on Nicktoons on May 2 2008.[2]
