Joaquim Gomes (born December 23 1980, in Luanda) is an Angolan professional basketball player. He has played in professionally in Germany and the Netherlands and currently plays for 1 De Agosto in Angola.
A 203 cm (6'8") in height, 102 kg (225 pounds) in weight center-power forward, Gomes was a stand out at Valparaiso University in Indiana, United States, where he played collegiately from 2000-04. He also played for his country's national team in the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2006 FIBA World Championship, FIBA Africa Championship 2007.
