Zakrzewiec [zaˈkʂɛvjɛt͡s] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Braniewo, within Braniewo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of Braniewo and 73 km (45 mi) north-west of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia). The former German name is "Vogelsang".
