Farashband (Persian: فراشبند, also Romanized as Farrāshband; also known as Farāsh and Farrāsh)[1] is a city in and the capital of Farashband County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 17,142, in 3,762 families.[2] It is located at an altitude of 775 metres (2545 feet).[3]
