Abadeh (also: Ābādeh, Persian آباده) is a city in the Iranian province of Fars . The city is located at an altitude of 1889 meters, almost halfway between Isfahan and Shiraz . This is where the settlement areas of the Turkic-speaking nomad peoples of the Afshar and Kashgai are located . An official census from 2011 found a population of 55,758 residents.
Attractions
The city is known for wood carving , sesame and castor oils , grains, and fruits.
Also known are the Abadeh carpets , good quality utility carpets . The weft and the warp are usually made of cotton , the pile of wool . The carpets have a multicolored, detailed pattern. A distinction is made between two motifs: that of the more common Hebatlu (nomadic origin) and that of the Zellol Sultan , whose motif is a flower vase, which shows a bird on both sides, and is continued in a repeat pattern (all-over). The formats of the Abadeh are very diverse and range from bed rugs and rugs to large carpets measuring 300 × 200 cm.
The Emarat e Kolah Farangi , Tymcheh Sarafyan and the Khaje Tomb in the Khoja Mountains are also of historical importance .
