The Danish parliamentary election of 1990 was held on 12 December 1990 . The election resulted in a strong gain for the Social Democratic Party, although Poul Schlüter 's coalition government was retained. The Social Liberal Party left the coalition, leaving Schlüters original four-party coalition with only two members, the Conservative People's Party and Venstre.
