LLycée Al Horreya Héliopolis ( بالعربية : ليسيه الحرية مصر الجديدة ), also known as Lycée La Liberté D'Héliopolis is a French-language school in Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt.
History
Lycée La Liberté D'Héliopolis was built 1936 ; opened in 1937 [1]
Campus
The school's many sports facilities are rare for Egyptian schools. Separate football, basketball and handball grounds exist; a swimming pool is a future addition.
The theatre presents Arabic and French pieces and shows.
The school's library is named after Tarek Hamdi, a former student who died in the War of Attrition.
Curriculum
An English language section is in the process of being added to the primary school section. After it is complete, English language sections will be added to the preparatory and secondary school sections. Students would like an Arabic language sections added to make it easier for them to study.
