Liberal Party of Canada candidates in the 2004 Canadian federal election

Don Kuhl (Portage—Lisgar)
Kuhl is a graduate of the University of Manitoba School of Agriculture. He was a partner in the Southern Manitoba Potato Company for a number of years, and ran a family farm from 1978 to 2000. He has served on numerous farm organizations and was a Board Member of the Manitoba Pulse Growers Association from 1990 to 1999, serving as President for five years. Kuhl was also a vice-chairman of the Western Canadian Pulse Growers Association.
He served on the council of Winkler, Manitoba from 1983 to 1998, and was the community's deputy mayor for three years. The 2004 election was his first bid for federal office. He finished second to Conservative incumbent Brian Pallister with 6,174 votes (17.74%).
