Phil Jimenez
Philip "Phil" Jimenez (born July 12, 1970) is an openly gay American comic book writer, artist and penciller. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and later Orange County, California, he moved to New York City to attend college at the School of Visual Arts. He began working at DC Comics when he was 21; his first published work was 4 pages in the DC miniseries "War of the Gods."
His realistic and richly detailed art style is heavily influenced by the work of George Pérez, artist and writer on such works as The Avengers, The New Teen Titans, Wonder Woman, and Crisis on Infinite Earths.
He is probably best known for his work on Wonder Woman (1998), New X-Men (2003), and Infinite Crisis (2005).
Other titles he has worked on include Team Titans (1993), Showcase '93 (1993), JLA/Titans (1998), The Invisibles (1997) and DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy (2005).
In 2004 he produced a creator-owned multi-genre limited series, Otherworld, which was published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint.
He lives in New York City.
Trivia

- His work has appeared in the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, on album covers, and in editorial magazines. He has been featured in Entertainment Weekly, The Advocate, and Out magazine.
- He also worked as a "hand double" for Tobey Maguire in the film Spider-Man, in the scenes depicting the young Peter Parker designing his costumed identity.
