She took 12 years of voice lessons, and attended [[Syracuse_University|Syracuse University]] studying musical theater. Her early career included working in commercials, including playing the [[spokesperson]] "Wendy Wire" for a company called Century Cable. She was also involved in the [[comedy]] sketch group “The Mouth”, based in New York where she has lived for ten years.
