Travel Channel was a German-language 24-hour special interest broadcaster that mainly broadcasts documentaries from the areas of travel and leisure.

The program mainly consisted of documentaries about travel destinations, foreign cuisine, foreign cultures, nature and shopping, as well as backpacking tourism, culinary travel, ecotourism and luxury travel.
history
Travel Channel started in 1994. On March 25, 2013, the station got a new logo and the program structure was revised, which was revised again on December 2, 2018 and thus became the last logo of Travel Channel.
Travel Channel ceased broadcasting in Germany on March 1, 2019.

It broadcasts in 21 languages in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Travel Channel started broadcasting in 1994 and reaches over 850 cable, satellite and IPTV platforms in 125 broadcast regions with 20 satellite feeds. On November 15, 2010, Travel Channel HD began broadcasting in Europe. Travel Channel HD cannot be received in Germany.
Travel Channel is part of the program bouquets of the major cable network operators Unitymedia and Kabel BW . The station can also be received in Germany via wilhelm.tel via cable, Vodafone and Alice via IPTV.
