HGTV (Home & Garden TV) is a private television station that has been on the air in Germany since June 6, 2019. HGTV has taken over the broadcast slot from Travel Channel .
history
HGTV will be freely receivable in Germany via the common cable networks and satellite. After DMAX , TLC and Eurosport, the station will be the fourth free TV station from Discovery. The German broadcaster will also take over programs from the American broadcaster HGTV . In contrast to the parent station, the logo for Germany contains the subtitle Home & Garden as an addition.
The programs will mainly focus on the design of houses and gardens as well as home improvement, although there are currently no broadcast formats for the topic of gardens, regardless of the name. Eva Padberg should bring the program closer to the audience.
