Julie Hayek (born c. 1961) won the Miss USA pageant in 1983, competing as Miss California USA. She was the 1st runner up at that same state pageant the year before.

Hayek went on to be the 1st runner-up at the Miss Universe pageant, won by New Zealand's Lorraine Downes. She had been a favorite for the win and entered the semifinals with the highest preliminary score - she then won both the swimsuit and the evening gown competitions.

Hayek is now a trained actress and has starred in successful shows such as Dallas, Twin Peaks and As the World Turns. In addition, for one season she was the co-host of Break the Bank '85.
