Jay Hayden (born 1979)[3] is an American actor. He is best known for his work in the ABC comedy-drama series The Catch (2016–17) and the Grey's Anatomy spinoff Station 19, both produced by Shondaland, and also has a recurring role in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Early life and education[edit]

Hayden was born in Northfield, Vermont,[2] and is of half-Irish and half-Korean descent.[4] He won a soccer scholarship to the University of Vermont, where he was an English major but realized that acting was his primary interest; he moved to Los Angeles after graduation to pursue an acting career.[4]

In film, Hayden had a major role in The House Bunny (2008)[2] and the lead role in the 2011 horror film State of Emergency.[5] He has since appeared in Wild Oats and the sports comedy Undrafted (both 2016).[2]
