Zack & Cody on board ( The Suite Life on Deck ) is the offshoot of the series Hotel Zack & Cody ( The Suite Life of Zack & Cody ) and an American sitcom from the Walt Disney Company from 2008. The series was produced by Disney Channel , It's a Laugh Productions, and Danny Kallis Productions .

In 2011, Zack & Cody was released to accompany the series. However, the plot of the film has no relation to the storylines of the series.

Framework story

Mr. Moseby is appointed manager of the SS Tipton ship . Three months later, Zack and Cody also come on board for a year on the high seas. And London is also forced by her father to live on the ship in order to finally get good grades and so that she cannot run away.

The series takes place in the same series universe as Jessie , Hannah Montana , Die Zauberer vom Waverly Place , Raven looks through , thus also Einfach Cory and Tripp's rock band , so that there are occasional guest appearances and other points of contact between the series, such as the cruise stay from characters from Hannah Montana and The Wizards of Waverly Place, and later from Tripp's rock band .

Zachary "Zack" Martin

Zack ( Dylan Sprouse ) is ten minutes older of the two twins. His hobbies include skateboarding, flirting with girls and teasing his brother Cody. On board the SS Tipton , he mainly wants to experience adventure, but also escape his mother's anger when he gets the next bad grades. Since the episode bankruptcies, bad luck and yo-yo , Zack has been working at the juice bar. When he met Maya Bennett in the episode The Blind Passenger from Season 3, who not only goes to 7 Seas High, but also waits at the juice bar, Zack falls in love with her. Since the episode The Party Goes on , Zack and Maya have been together. Now Zack has to get used to a steady relationship. However, they separate again in the last episode.

Cody Martin

Cody ( Cole Sprouse ) shows his talents more in the school area. But he's not very much like Zack in love either. Cody goes more inside and tries to maintain a love, Zack, however, only goes after looks and therefore approaches many girls. Cody is initially very excited about living on the high seas. He's also happy that he finally doesn't have to share a room with Zack anymore. But his roommate becomes Woody, the complete opposite of Cody. Because of Zack, Cody has to work as a towel boy on the ship, which Cody doesn't like at all. He's in love with Bailey. Cody and Bailey have been a couple since the second season, but split up again in the two-part breakup in Paris . But in the three-part shore leave with consequences , they come together again. The episode London's Christmas story shows the future when Cody and Bailey get married.

London Leah Tipton

London ( Brenda Song ), the daughter of the owner of the Tipton Hotel and the SS Tipton , is sent by her father to his cruise ship to study at Seven Seas High because of her poor academic performance . London is of course not very enthusiastic about this, because now she can no longer pursue her hobbies such as shopping the way she wants, and she was separated from her rich friends and now only has her new roommate Bailey.

Bailey Pickett

Bailey ( Debby Ryan ) is 15 years old and is from Kettlecorn, Kansas on SS Tipton. In the first episode she pretends to be a boy because there are no more free girls' cubicles and comes into a room with Zack. In the course of the episode, however, Zack and later everyone discover that Bailey is a girl. Even if London didn't want it, the two of them live in a cabin from then on. She is very intelligent and has a strong teaching focus. She wants to see something of the world on the SS Tipton. Bailey and Cody have been a couple since the second season, but split up again in the two-part breakup in Paris . But in the three-part shore leave with consequences , they come together again. The episode London's Christmas story shows the future when Cody and Bailey get married.

She has six big and three little sisters at home in Kettlecorn, and she once had a domestic pig. In the second episode, she finds a pig on Parrot Island, which she takes away and calls Porkers.

Marcus Little

Marcus ( Doc Shaw ) was a successful singer named Lil Little as a child but lost his career after his voice changed. Marcus made his first appearance as a roommate . He and Zack have shared a room since this episode. He lived in Atlanta , Georgia and is friends with Jordin Sparks . In the episode Bon Voyage he leaves the ship to film a musical based on his hit "Retainer Baby".

Mr. Marion Moseby

Mr. Moseby ( Phill Lewis ) is given responsibility for Zack, Cody and London as well as the entire ship. When he hears about his new job from Mr. Tipton, he is on fire, because his life could now turn for the better without the twins and London. But this idea is gradually being destroyed more and more. At the end of the series, he becomes engaged to Emma Tutweiller.

He also takes this job very seriously, much like his old job as a hotel manager.

Woodrow "Woody" finch

Woody ( Matthew Scott Timmons ) is Cody's new roommate. He is the exact opposite of Cody and is very much on his heels.

Ms. Emma Tutweiller

Miss Tutweiller ( Erin Cardillo ) is a teacher at Seven Seas High . She tries everything to make her lessons unforgettable. Together with Mr. Moseby she runs the ship or the school on board. She doesn't want Cody and Bailey to lead her class, but sometimes they do because they're so smart. You just say what Miss Tutweiller wants to say before she says it. She used to be a dancer, but she hides that from her students. She gives everything to not die alone and eventually becomes engaged to Marion Moseby.

Kirby Morris

Kirby ( Windell Middlebrooks ) is a safety officer on the SS Tipton. He is friends with Zack and Cody. As shown in the episode No Confidence , Kirby didn't graduate from high school. Thanks to Zack and Cody, Kirby catches up with him on the "Seven Seas High".

Maya Bennett

Maya ( Zoey Deutch ) comes to the ship in the third season and works there as a waitress. When Zack casts an eye on her, she flashes him several times. She would like to have Zack as a good friend, which Zack cannot accept. When she celebrates her birthday, Zack tries so hard for a surprise party that Maya can overcome herself. She first has to explain to Zack how a steady relationship works. But separates from him in the last episode.

Filming

Both parts of the set and animated scenes could already be seen in the episode A Cruise with Zack and Cody (episode 86 of Hotel Zack & Cody ).

Others

  • As a result, Stop the Thief from Hotel Zack and Cody calls Maddie to London while she is on the deck of a ship. A lifebuoy can be seen in the background with "SS Tipton" written on it. As a result, London was on board the SS Tipton before Zack and Cody were on board , even though the ship had a completely different design at the time.
  • In episode 4 "The Diamond Thief" there are numerous allusions to the movie Titanic from 1997. For example, the famous figure on the bow of the Titanic is re-enacted, the diamond chain is secretly slipped under someone, in the whirlpool the scene after the ship's sinking is re-enacted, while Jack and Rose hold hands on the floating door. In addition, at the end of the episode, the diamond is thrown into the sea water and the music has been adapted.
