Sabrina

Sabrina is singer from Portugal who will represent the country in Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, Finland, after winning the national selection. She will sing in the semifinal in hope to be the first entry to qualify for the final for the country who has failed to do that since the semifinals were firstly introduced back in 2004.

Early life

Her real name is Teresa Villa-Lobos and she was born in Setúbal in Portugal. She started singing at school and ar family parties. At the age of 16 she started to participate on Karaoke competitions.

Music career

She was part of the third and last line-up of Portuguese [[girl-group] Teenagers from 2003 to 2006 when she planned to start her solo career.

Participation in Eurovision Song Contest

At the age of 24, she was selected on a casting to participate on RTP's Festival da Canção 2007. Her producer, local artist Emanuel, proposed her to perform under the alias Sabrina. She won the show with almost twice votes than the second qualifier.

The song Dança Comigo (Vem ser Feliz), will represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, Finland. The song is consider by many as typical Portuguese schlager. Fans hope this song may be the country's passport to the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest, an acheivement they had not succeeded since this format was introduced in the contest in 2004.

Future career

She is currently working on her debut album, which is being produced by Emanuel.
