The 42nd Festival da Canção took place in March 2007 in Lisbon. At the same time it served as the Portuguese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 . The singer Sabrina emerged as the winner . At the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki she reached eleventh place in the semifinals .
