Giuseppe Aglio

Giuseppe Aglio , German also Joseph Aglio (born June 25, 1717 in Cremona ; † March 21, 1809 ibid) was an Italian art historian .

Giuseppe Aglio worked as a notary in his hometown and collected books, coins and manuscripts of historical value. He also collected public inscriptions in Cremona. At an advanced age he became impoverished and was forced to sell his collections. He researched for his main work for 30 years.
