WGFR is a non-commercial radio station licensed to the Adirondack Community College (ACC) Board of Trustees. The station broadcasts its signal at 92.7 FM from the "big white building" in Glens Falls, New York. The studios are on the ACC campus, in Washington Hall.

The station's format is primarily an Adult Album Alternative. Though you can hear other formats of music being broadcast at other various times of day. Like for example, there is a block devoted to Hip-Hop and Dance during the late night overnight hours, and students play a variety of music during set "specialty hours". (see the schedule below)

WGFR is used in two ways. First, it is used as part of Adirondack Community College Radio/TV Broadcasting program. Students are put on air as a requirement of college course COM 173, Basic Broadcast Techniques, and students create special programming through college course COM 188, Applied Production for Radio. And other on-air programs are provided by people who have volunteered for an on-air slot.

There is a five week DJ training course that is offered for those who want to be on the air at WGFR, but do not want to partake in the COM 173 course.
