À l'enseigne du lion d'or (German for the golden lion ) is a former wine shop in the 10th arrondissement of Paris , which was established at the beginning of the 19th century. Since 1984, the business with the address Rue Jean-Poulmarch no. 19 as a monument ( monument historique protected). The nearest metro station is Jacques Bonsergent on line 5.

The shop on the corner of Rue Jean-Poulmarch and Rue des Vinaigriers is opposite a lock on the Canal Saint-Martin . The entrance at the cut-off corner of the house is flanked by two pilasters and a gold Medici lion , whose paw rests on a globe , is depicted in a wrought-iron grille above the glass double door . The pilasters are adorned with capitals depicting Bacchus surrounded by grapes and vine leaves.

The windows of the shop are protected by a grille, the bars of which are adorned with golden pine cones at the top . Shops have been equipped in this way since the 18th century to protect the newly created large window fronts. Only a few shops have retained their old decor.
