Álvaro Brun , full name Álvaro Nicolás Brun Martínez , (born April 10, 1987 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.86 meter tall midfielder Brun has been a member of the Centro Atlético Fénix squad since Apertura 2008 . In the two first division seasons 2009/10 and 2010/11 he ran there in a total of 16 games (one goal) of the Primera División . At the end of July 2011 he joined the Argentine association San Martín de Tucumán . In mid-July 2012 he returned to Uruguay and continued his career with the first division club Cerro Largo FC . In the Apertura 2012, the club from Melo in eastern Turkey recorded six first division appearances (no goal) and one game (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2012 for him. In mid-January 2013 he moved to league rivals Central Español during the season . By the end of the season, he had completed twelve other first division matches with the Montevideans and scored one goal. In the middle of the year his career path again led to neighboring countries. This time Gimnasia Jujuy from Argentina was his employer until January 2015 . After 34 appearances in the Primera B Nacional , in which he failed to score, he left the Argentines and signed with the relegation-threatened first division club Atlético Cerro . In the 2015 Clausura he played there 14 times (no goal) in the Primera División and secured the class with the team. At the end of July 2015, he moved to Real Estelí . With the Nicaraguans he completed 15 league games and scored one goal. At the end of April 2016, he joined the Uruguayan second division club Oriental de Football , for which he played seven league games (one goal) by the end of the season. At the beginning of August 2016, he continued his career at Central Español. There he scored once in the opposing goal in twelve league appearances in the 2016 season. In February 2017 he switched to Club Atlético Torque . So far (as of July 23, 2017) he has played 13 second division games for the Montevideans and scored one goal.
