Ángel Domingo López Ruano , called Ángel López (born March 10, 1981 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria , Spain ) is a Spanish football player .

Player career

biography

Ángel López played from 2000 to January 2003 for UD Las Palmas , the largest club in his hometown, after he was previously active in the Canarian B team. He then moved to the Galician first division club Celta Vigo , where he was able to make a name for himself as a right defender and midfielder. With Celta he played in both the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Champions League . After the relegation of Celta to the Segunda División during the 2006/07 season, he refused to play a class lower. For this reason he moved to Villarreal . After his contract there expired, he joined Betis Sevilla in 2012 .

His national team debut was Ángel López on November 15, 2006 in a friendly against Romania .
